Canadians are obsessed with the weather, probably because we
have so much of it.
Take a side trip to visit the folks at
Environment Canada or at
The Weather Network
and look at the weather forecasts for the greater Vancouver region.

Most of us who are born near the ocean have a bit of wanderlust
built into our genetic makeup.
One place that intrigues me, a place I'd love to visit and
perhaps live part time, is
Lamma Island, a part
of the Hong Kong SAR. Visit the Lamma
web site Forum's
Photo of the Day to enjoy
a visual feast of local images.

Ok, ok, so I can't afford to move to Hong Kong and enjoy the
Lamma-esque lifestyle,
but there is a local, intriguing, laid-back alternative right here in BC.
Gabriola Island is situated
between the BC mainland and Vancouver Island. I like to
think of it as our version of "Camelot".
Here's one interesting blog site managed by a Gabriola resident:
Unlocking the Air is a good read.
There are many more interesting web sites about Gabriola, too
numerous to mention here.
